Kiriburu Tour Plan includes

Also known as Sapua Nala, this waterfall is also a popular spot of the Kiriburu package tour. Like Pundul waterfalls, one has to walk 10 minutes to reach the waterfalls inside deep forest near Kiriburu. Here the water falls from above 100 feet. It is located 12 km from the town of Bolani, creates a fascinating rainbow while flowing down, hence is also named as Rainbow Falls.

This place is about 35 kilometers away from Barbil. You have to cross the jungle of huge freight trucks and trailers carrying iron ore from nearby Mines and take red soiled road to reach the local village.Sunset is splendid from this place.Crossing tribal villages and green paddy fields, the road ends in the lap of a temple, right on the bank of a river named Baitarani. Baitarani is flowing here through the gaps of huge iron rocks. The incessant murmur of Baitarani river would make you rejuvenated.
It is said that Ramchandra went to the forest with Sita across the river. You can find the footprints of Ramchandra, Lakshman and Sita on the rocks on the banks of this river.

Pachri falls is at a distance of about 7 kms from the town of Bolani. Despite the fact that to reach it one has to walk 30 minutes through the jungle,  this beautiful waterfall is a must see in the Kiriburu Meghahatuburu trip.

The spot which nobody misses in a Kiriburi Meghahatuburu trip is the Meghahatuburu hilltop. This is located at an average height of 2777 feet from sea level. From the top one can view a vast assortment of mountains covered by white snowy clouds. This becomes all the more beautiful with the sun rising behind the mountain peak. This region is also known as the land of seven hundred hills and enjoying sunrise from here is an absolute fantasy.

We will provide you a Government registered guide while conducting the Saranda forests safari. We will also provide permission from the DFO (Divisional Forest Officer) to explore the core area of the jungle. Some of the wild animals found here are Wild Elephants, Sambar, Chital, Beers, Bison, Tigers, and Leopards. Due to the presence of a high amount of iron ore, the soil in the entire forest is red in color.

Pundul Falls is a waterfall located inside deep forest of Kiriburu and is surrounded by the dense Saranda forest. This forest is commonly known as Fulbari Forest and you can find elephants and wild boars on the way. Huge number of exotic birds  like Thrasher, Parrots, Coppersmith and Munia. Sapneswar temple is also located close to the waterfalls and the temple has a shiva lingam. This is the place from where river Karo originates. It is very exciting and refreshing to walk through narrow paths inside forest towards the waterfalls as a part of Kiriburu tour.

Located 31 km from Bolani, the Murga Mahadev Temple stands majestically at the foot of Thakurani Hills with a magnificent waterfall adjacent to it. The waterfalls is divided into three individual streams and coming down inside a reservoir creating a scenic view of the whole region. It is located in Deojhar district in Jharkhand near Jindal Steel Barbil Pellet Plant inside Saranda Forest

This temple is also located inside Jungle of Saranda with a waterfall adjacent to it. One has to walk for some time to reach the place.

One of the most important aspects of Kiriburu and Meghataburu tour packages is to visit the tribal haat. From Bolani this is a 7 minutes’ drive to the Southward direction. You would see a tri-directional road where there are a few shops. The roads are desolate and isolated. This place is known as Doublehuting. This desolate road immerses in laughter and glory every Friday due to the fair. Illuminated by the moon light and kerosene lamps, this fair lights up at night. Shops start their business from 4 o’clock in the dawn and the fair is crowded up with tribal and locals from surrounding villages. The tribe enjoy having the local wine, along with sale of various clothing, ribbons, cheap glass jewellery, and fried pakoras.

You have to board the 12021 Jansatabdi express from Kolkata which runs at 6.20 am every morning and reaches Barbil station at 1.05 in the afternoon. From Barbil, Kiriburu and Meghahatuburu are very close.

In Kiriburu Meghahatuburu Saranda tours, the easiest access point is Barbil station which is at a distance of 7 kms, you can put up at lodging in Karo guest house at Bolani. It takes approximately 30 minutes by car. For staying at Kriburu  one can stay  at Kiriburu Hill Top Guest House,  Meghalaya Guest House, Meghahatuburu Visitors Guest House or  SAIL Meghahatuburu Guest House. for budget accommodation, one can stay near barbil, which is isolated from the city hustles and bustles.
